Tanya first came to see me in 2011 when she was expecting Daniel. I have met up with the family for a few baby shoots and a lovely outdoor mini shoot in Epsom a few month ago.

The first maternity shoot is always really different from any subsequent ones as the first one is very much about the women preparing for motherhood and celebrating this fact. The maternity photoshoot is often just as much about the husband and wife being a loving couple looking forward and excited about meeting their newborn.

When you already have a child the focus shift and although most couple's still want a few photos of the two of them, it's much more about the current child and bump. This is great for me as the photographs are immediately different with Daniel in this case and bump in lead roles. Not only that but toddlers are great with little props and it makes the images more playful too.

Pregnancy photos are a great addition to any newborn or First Year album...

I love high-contrast images for pregnancy and newborn photography. It really shows off the shape of the bump and make the expecting mum look super good as well. This would make a fantastic image to hang up in the nursery.

I won't have to wait long before I will see this lovely family again as the baby session is already pencilled in. Cannot wait!

Are you pregnant and would like to book a maternity shoot are not quite sure, why don't you have a look at the information on my website or contact me for a chat. I also do gift vouchers if you want to give a special gift to someone you know who is expecting.

I look forward to hearing from you.
